Can somebody explain why Krystal's motel room was always a mess, like a tornado hit it, with stuff all over the place, bed sheets and covers piling up and on the floor?

psychology experts said creative people are generally messy, so perhaps Krystal is a very creative girl.
Unlike the rest of the crew, she spent all day in a hotel room and she seemed to always have a drink in her hand and a man in her bed. She does all of the planning for the trips, but that can't take long at all, so I'd imagine that all she's doing is partying and getting laid all day with people in and out of her room.
shareShe also had tags hanging off her clothes. While she was "managing" the crew, it seems she is in the same broken situation because of her lack of good money management (i.e. living for the day).

She doesn't care if her immediate environment is manageable or even take the time to put proper sheets.... she doesn't take care of herself or the people in 'her care'. I appreciated that subtle but powerful touch in developing the character.
There was a scene near the end where they literally have JUST checked in, have only been at the motel less than an hour, and Krystal asks to see Star and Krystal's room is already a disaster area. How do you make that big of a mess in a few minutes?
shareSometimes I got confused if they had a "home base" of sorts and Krystal was just returning to her main motel spot. The one in the beginning looked an awful lot like the one later on, and maybe she had a deal with the manager to stay in that same room like it was boarding (some managers do offer that...usually unofficially and under the table).
That motel must've been desperate though, because the kids were so obnoxious and noisy, and I don't see how your average motel management would tolerate a group like that hanging out and having bonfire parties in view of other guests.
I can't see how a single home base would work when they were in a different city or even different state each night.
But yeah I definitely would not want to be staying at the same motel when that crew was there!

shareKrystal usually got to the motels before the rest of the crew. This was mentioned at least twice, where her and jake went ahead before the rest. It could have been a few hours or a a whole day/night. Either way, plenty of time for her to make a damn mess.
