Fantastic film. Underrated?

At nearly 3 hours, I didn't feel the movie was a second too long. I would have happily continued to watch Sasha Lane perform this role. For a movie that's essentially a celebration of youthful exhuberance, fittingly, it just feels so alive. The fantastic soundtrack and beautifully shot, handheld cinematography are major contributing factors.

If I had a complaint it would be the occasional need to suspend disbelief and the relatively inconclusive ending. Minor gripes for a film that made me laugh, think and ultimately invigorated and excited me and filled me with the same thirst for life these characters display.

A movie for this generation that attempts to heal the wounded and give hope to the hopeless. Important and profound.

I guess. But I watched it with a 17 and 16 year old and they found the characters unrelateable and uninteresting.

If the teenagers you watched this with could relate to those kids you'd have serious problems on your hands. The kids in this movie were the future meth heads of America. It's sad to think there's people like that out there.

Perfectly said!!

I saw it as nearly 3 hours of experience - joyous!!

Agreed. I thought it was absolutely exceptional. One of my Top 3 of 2016 along with Moonlight and Silence.

I enjoyed it too. I don't think they were supposed to grow as they are all low life's who don't want to do nothing with their lives. Sad but honest look into these people's lives
