My biggest problem with this movie. *Spoilers from Trailer*
Okay, so from what I gather in the trailer, Selene becomes stronger due to some sort of ritual that is performed on her that seems to have a mystical nature about it. I could be wrong in that since I haven't seen the movie but it doesn't seem to tie into Alexander Corvinus' blood, especially since she already has that in her.
This entire series from the get-go is a science fiction series. They have used science to explain the origins of vampires and lycans, and how the bloodlines could combine. So for them to suddenly just, throw in magic or whatever the f@ck is going on just, doesn't work.
Take the Blade series for instance. Even though vampirism was treated like a virus in those movies, it was shown to have a mystical origin with Drake and La-Magra, the Blood God. Yes, it was confusing at times especially given the contracting tones in all three movies, especially the awful third one, but it was established in the first film to have one foot in science and one foot in mysticism.
And yes, this shouldn't be a big deal, but, I don't know, it just really bugs me.
