WILLIAM WAS NOT TREATED THE RIGHT WAY

I think they did unjustice to the one of the two brothers by showing him in just 1 movie and not as the leader but in a minor role when William was the first wolf, the strongest and supposed EQUAL WITH HIS BROTHER MARCUS so he should bde a great wolf leader of his own like Lucian became after him.
I can't understand why they decreased the importance William should play in this series.

I don't think they did justice to the corvinus thing period imho. I just posted something about William who in my opinion was one of the most beautiful werewolves.

reply

YEAH....William was awesome wolf but I think they most did unjustice to him.
Look what they did to marcus. they praised him gave him a huge role a great leading role. marcus was like a god compared to William.
marcus saw William as the little brother who wanted help and protection.
victor wanted to kill William like he was nothing and only with marcus intervention he was in prisoned for life until marcus freed him at the end of part 2 but had in mind to control him.

in the series Lucian was shown as a greater leader than William....THAT'S BULL.

WILLIAM WAS THE FIRST...THE STRONGEST....HE SHOULD CHANGE TO HUMAN FORM AND TO EXPLORE HIS CHARACTER BUT THEY PRESENTED HIM JUST AS A WILD BEAST UNCONTROLLED MURDERER.

WHAT A WASTE...INDEED.

i thought they were going to do so much more than they did with the whole saga period. I thought markus would hybridize William to give him the ability to transform back into a human as a newborn hybrid can do. but instead, he was just a beast treated as some kind of mummy evil thing to be contained. Alexander Corvinus had only one scene (and i thought his character wasn't done well either) markus was the forefather of vampires, but seemed more like the creeper. the whole plot was just trying to unleash this creature when he'd done all he could to contain him. i thought it was all done rather silly.

Maybe they really need to do a prequel to the prequel and explain characters such as William, Markus, Corvinus himself and in better detail how Victor and Amelia came to be.

ok, i admit i haven't watched the first film in a while (i like it but i much prefer EVOLUTION and AWAKENING) but wasn't it established that William (and anyone he sired/turned) would basically be almost sort of feral/rabid (or something like that) never to be able to turn back to human form ever again? i'm pretty sure it was also established that William (and anyone he sired/turned) could not control themselves and were just killing and killing everyone and anyone. how exactly is that a good wolf leader? they had no choice (as Viktor basically says) to imprison William.

theromanempire or are you saying that you don't like how the writers of the film had it be that William was written to be that out of control? if that's what you're saying then i kind of agree w/ you there. it would have been interesting to see more about a William alpha leader who could control himself/his progeny.

reply

exactly that is what i'm saying. how is that marcus could change but not William ? it's the writer's fault and that mistake led to the demise of William in just 1 film and by part 4 we had selin fighting.....the humans.

WILLIAM, ALEXANDER AND MARCUS SHOULD HAVE SURVIVED IN MORE FILMS.

welcome to the world of lazy writing for a quick buck

theromanempire, oh! i just wasn't sure what you meant at first (my bad. i was VERY tired when i read/posted to you in this thread. ). thanx for clarifying it for me and i definitely agree w/ you. i've watched parts 1, 2 and 4 dozens of times and it hadn't even occurred to me that the William character could/should have been written to be a more prominent character until i read what you wrote in this thread and i'm with you 100% now. to have him be in many ways like Marcus but on the wolf side (the in control/able to change back to human form wolf side!) WOULD have been really cool/interesting!

reply

that's what I was talking about. William was a great white wolf and they missed a chance with him. they promoted Lucian as a wolf leader and they even made a film about him (part 3 "rise of lycans") but they essentially ignored William showing him in just 1 film and not in many scenes but rather in a secondairy role.
that's the writer's fault and a lazy writing like the other good poster said above.

reply

not to mention they made Lucian out to be a Jesus Christ kind of figure, only to make him a 'bad' guy in the next one. then again, they hyped Michael up to and look how they treated him.
