So now that Selene.... (spoiler alert)
Is an elder, do you think she will punish Varga for killing all the Death Dealers?
shareNo, I don't think so. Selene is beyond that.
Based on the clues in the movie, Selene is weary of violence and war. She has seen too much killing.
Even though she became an Elder, she did not take charge. (I guess she had no interest in being a ruler. The Eastern coven now belongs to her protege David.)
Instead she chose to journey to the Nordic coven and meditate, and to be united with her family. The ending is rich in philosophical meanings.
"There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only the coming..." ---Selene's monologue
PS: I also believe this is the last movie that centres on Selene. Her journey has come full circle.
Future movies can be spinoffs or prequels exploring other interesting characters.
