No Original Soundtrack ?

We already know that the Original Score has been composed by Michael Wandmacher, sadly replacing the great Paul Haslinger and his awesome songs.

But what about the Original Soundtrack ? Since the first movie, we've always had them, arranged by Renholder, but for Blood Wars, no words about it. I really hope we'll get one !

The soundtrack album has been announced now, to be released on January 6. I can't find any indication that they'll release an original score album yet.

You're confusing with the Original Score, which is what you are talking about.

In the Underworld franchise, the Soundtracks have been released alongside Original Scores. They feature multiple songs by various artists and bands. Some of them are usually remixed by Renholder.

Well, it seems we won't get one for the 5th movie, which has "broken the Chain". Too sad :(

Yeah, I noticed that later. I was never sure what the difference was between the two albums for each movie, so thanks.

I've seen the movie. The score is greatly in keeping with the previous ones.

I'm right there with you. I have the first four albums as well and was bummed that they decided not to do one for this movie. Even if most of the songs on the album aren't in the movie, they still make for great listens. I listen to them every January, when the weather gets cold.

I know. One of the things I was really looking forward to.

Michael Wandmacher’s Underworld: Blood Wars soundtrack is out now from Lakeshore Records

The soundtrack is composed by My Bloody Valentine 3D notesmith Michael Wandmacher (read our review of the soundtrack album here) who replaces series regular Paul Haslinger (Haslinger in fact composed the score for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, due out later this month). Wandmacher’s music sounds dark, blue/black, shiny and serious and the album itself is well-produced and slick.

The Underworld Blood Wars soundtrack album is available now from Lakeshore Records and the label has given us the exclusive first look at the official video for the disc
