Underworld vs. Resident Evil, what's the film crappier series?
It seems like these films are still being made when nobody asks for them to be...
so which film series do you think is worse?

I'm seeing Underworld. The RE trailer looked bad but I'll wait and say if I'm really not going to it. But I have the XXX movie plus a music concert I want to see this month so most likely end up skipping RE because of money.

I agree with you on your assessment on the Underworld franchise.
For me the first and Rise of the Lycans were the best. I don't think the focusing on the fighting was the problem but as the franchise moved on, the focus on the storyline shifted and wondered off to the point of incoherence. I found Awakening to be incoherent in the story and made little sense to me.
As for the Resident Evil movies (and this is from someone who never played the games)
I believe the main appeal of the franchise is Milla Jovovich as Alice and some really cool action set pieces. They're not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but they're at least entertaining and funny enough, it's growing on me plus RE's 2 and 4 is much better than Underworld's 2 and 4, which is not saying very much.
To me, both franchises are on equal footing.
Having seen only one of each (until tonight when I caught Blood Wars) I think Underworld is worse mostly because it does not have Milla in it. I would watch her knitting in a chair for 2 hours.
shareWell first off i will people are asking for these cause they keep seeing them as for which is the worst series its obvious resident evil is worse they are both action series but underworld pays more attention to story an keeps continuity resident evil will bring up a plot then totally drop it in the next film from a pure writing point underworld is stronger an from character stand point underworld is stronger
share3D adds to production costs. Not necessary here.
When I'm good, I'm GOOD. When I'm bad, I'm BETTER.
RE series has always been pure ass.
Underworld is way better. The only thing that weakened the series was the guy that played Michael wouldn't return to the franchise. This caused the films to take a different direction than what I'm sure they had planned. The biggest mistake was the creators tried to wait it out with the actor in hopes he'd return in a later sequel. They finally did the right thing and by the end of Blood Wars got Selene to where they originally planned her to go.
Some are asking for them. And for the folks who think all the movies suck why keep watching them?
