Where did Selene & David get the horses (en route to Nordic coven)?

i liked this movie a lot and this is just a non-issue nitpick but where the hell did they get the 2 horses on their trek to the Nordic coven? i guess there must be people living not that far away from the coven but the writers made it seem like the Nordic coven was EXTREMELY remote/far away.

I was surprised about seeing the horses. I was wondering why they didn't acquire an all terrain vehicle to reach that point.

cbnspanky2, once they got off the horses i instantly thought..."WHAT, THEY ARE JUST LEAVING THOSE POOR HORSES THERE IN THE FREEZING COLD?!". lol.
