Selene put it in her sleeve, then blondie did... what was the point?

Maybe Lena did it in order to gain a connection to Eve and lead her back to Selene?

Well it's usually done subtley, but psychic powers are implied in the underworld universe. from a practical standpoint, she had to undress selene to put her into the ice bath and cocoon. So she may have kept it for when she would have time to give it to her.
