I heard a tv series was in the works...what do you guys think about it?

sharethey claim they want to make it, but it will depend on how things go.
shareThere's talk of a RE tv show too. Honestly its a bad idea unless the principle actors/actresses show up and reprise their movie roles. The only way I could see it work would be how they do Agents of Shield.
shareIt's won't have any actors reprising their roles though. From what I understand they want reboot and start a fresh. I think a TV show could be a lot of fun!
shareI agree; I can see "Underworld" working as a TV show. They could set it within the movieverse with different characters (I mean, we know there's more to the vampire vs lycan war besides Selene and Michael's journey) or as you say, reboot it and take it a new direction. I'm not sure I'd like to see a retread of Selene and Michael with different actors, though.
It'd be nice to have a vampire show on TV that's action/horror focused.
Just a Jeannie in a bottle...
If it's a spin-off of the movies, yes. If it's a reboot, no.
When I'm good, I'm GOOD. When I'm bad, I'm BETTER.
Hey, a TV series worked great for Blade. Can't wait to see Underworld on TV. /s
shareIf they do a TV series, I think it should either be of Lucian's time of the war, or of Eve.
shareand shadowhunters. Shudders!
shareI loved the Blade series. Underworld would probably on budget and execution of The Strain. I'd watch it. Underworld is very much given to dialog, politics and "soap opera" theatrics, much like popular shows Game of Thrones and Spartacus and the like. TV would actually be a very good fit for it.

I heard (sorry, I do not recall when I heard it- before UNDERWORLD BLOOD WARS was in production, I think) something once about the show perhaps leaning a bit more to Lykan-focused than Vampire-focused, the way the movies are. I'm still not entirely sold on a show, at all. Maybe if it is Eve's journey or a reboot that takes things in a new direction that does NOT include new actors playing Michael and Selene. I mean, there have to be more covens around the world, besides the Nordic one and the one David is now in charge of. You've got the new world, South America, Africa, New Zealand, China, Australia, etc. There has to be at least one other coven out there.
The TV show could be how this other coven deals with whatever the fallout of BLOOD WARS is, including Eve's journey. Then you could get your movie-actors to pop up even if just once in the first season, you can have more or less Lykans (they'd probably be more expensive, Visual Effects wise, than vampires - the Nordic wouldn't be too hard, they'd just have them do the same stuff they did for VAMPIRE DIARIES when people vamp-speed), and you could have it sort've move around the movies. That way if you wanted to do another movie, perhaps one about Eve or David, you wouldn't have to worry so much about messing up things for the show or the movie(s).

I look forward to it. But Kate said she knew nothing about it, that she was not involved.
