did she want to get raped..... because even though she knew it was him she still trusted him and then he does it again. and she told him to slap her and he says it has you be like before...... so she's into rape right or am I just stupid
shareI'm totally clueless with what's going on in the film. I really enjoyed it up until the last few minutes. Patrick asks Michele "Why?" after he gets his head bashed in. This makes me think they had some (sick & twisted) relationship before the first rape. He also has a confused look when she tells him he will not get away with what he's done to her.
The story would work out if she didn't go out and buy self-defense gear and learn how to defend herself...but she did.
Maybe she's crazy, maybe he's crazy. The more I dwell on the movie, the less I like it but I thought the first two hours were fantastic.
She was crazy in the least. One part of her wanted revenge for what he had done to her but another part of her emerged that wanted more. She became very conflicted by something that had been forced upon her.
shareI agree. It mirrors her complicity with her father's crimes. Once again, something that she didn't choose, but that she ended up embroiled in all the same.
shareWell, I'm confused as well, but I think she liked the neighbour, so when it turned out he was the unsub she was confused too. She wanted to have sex with him, but his terms were too humiliating, so she got revenge. At the party she decided to end the lies and told him later in the car he couldn't do it anymore, because she was afraid for other women and his wife.
