Incredibly disturbing movie

Knew the general storyline before coming in and went in with an open mind. Left feeling utterly put off by the storyline and found it so disturbing that I mentioned to several of my friends and family to not go see this picture. Yes, the acting was fine but I did not care for any of the characters and the notion of engaging in a relationship with a rapist was just too much for me. I did my best to forget it as soon as I walked out of the theater (as did the majority of people who saw it with me). As I write this now, all I can write is that this was a story that had no need for a film and if you are particularly intrigued by violent relationships then maybe this film will appeal to you. Otherwise, avoid it like the plague.
