Why was Laurent Lafitte credited as Laurent Lafitte de la Comedie Française?

Probably this was in his contract to be credited like that. The Comédie-Française is a theater troupe of astronomical prestige in France, and the fact that he has been in it would naturally be a major feather in his hat.
