the movie isn't really that good, although it is indeed very stylish. I still think Isabelle Huppert will receive a nomination, though. Just like Marion Cotillard was nominated for 3 Days, 2 Nights, but the movie didn't make the shortlist.

We are having a hell of a summer in Brazil this year. It took me 3 days to watch the movie, a bit a day. To me thats a symptom of a weak plot. A good movie would have stopped the heat to me. Great performance by Isabelle, maybe a nomination, but not for Best Movie, for sure.

shareI personally loved Elle. It is disturbing, but I think it is a great film. However, as I haven't seen all of the films submitted for the Best Foreign Language Film, I can't say if it deserved a nomination because maybe there were better films. Still, I'd take Elle over Toni Erdmann every day.
