I love how purplebear says "Elle" shouldn't have been a (deserved) Oscar nominee because Paul Verhoeven directed "Showgirls" - I also love how they conveniently leave out that Verhoeven's acclaimed and nominated films post-"Showgirls": "Starship Troopers" and "Hollow Man" - and yet, at the top of their page, they say the best movie of 2016 was "Ice Age: Collision Course". They're either a troll or in desperate need of attention.

I liked starship troopers and was less strict when I saw it and liked it.
