I really like this film. I thought it was very well done and just the right running time.
I have a question, though -

I was impressed when I thought that Blaire's life would be spared, but Laura would instead leave her with a fate worse that death - everyone finding out that she was reponsible for the video and the guilt of her friends dying. That seems like a harsher punishment to me and I kind of wish that's the way they'd gone. Anyone agree?

Yes I thought was going to be the final result as well.

And apparently it's confirmed somewhere that Blaire survives and is tormented by Laura and her friend's ghosts, though I don't know if this is made up or not.

Yeah, I felt like the jump-scare ending was a total cop-out.
