Has anyone asked this yet?

Any significance do you think of the ghost poster using the name 'billie227'?

Blaire's name is Blaire Lily, and it would be a bit of stretch, but you could kind of get 'billie' from playing around with Blaire's name.

And if so, the 227?

Maybe it means nothing...but would be cool if it did..like Laura or Blaire originally had 227 friends on their friends lists...

It's not the anniversary date of the suicide because it happened on April 12, 2013 (I believe) and the anniversary then would be April 12, 2014.

I looked up police code, and if this were in Queensland, Australia, a 227A is criminal code for a "person who observes or visually records another person, without the other person's consent; and when the other person is in a private place; or is engaging in a private act and the observation or visual recording is made for the purpose of observing or visually recording a private act."

Given this was supposed to take place in Fresno, CA, that wouldn't make sense but what a freaky coincidence 

California though does have the following cop codes:

227 Public Indecency with Handicapped
227D Public Indecency with Handicapped unconscious

So...maybe nothing...make of it what you will!

227 was the name of a TV show in the 80's.
Maybe it was a favorite of the screenplay writers?

Just finished watching the film (enjoyed it). You're right, Blaire Lily is the main characters name. I imagine her middle name begins with I (Imogen I guess, or something like that).

If you break it down, it's two words -Bil-lie (Blair I. Lily-lie)

The 227 is a bit of a break down, the last two numbers being 27 (referring to 24/7) The first one is the number 2, instead of the letter S.

So the whole username is BiL-lie2-27, meaning "Blair I. Lily lies 24/7."

That's the way I worked it out anyhow.

When I saw Laura/Billie type "Let's play the game", I immediately thought of Billy the Puppet from the 'Saw' franchise, who always used that phrase when talking to his victims, if I remember right.

The thing I found weirdest about that was that Blaire looks at the profile and says it's Laura's profile, that she never removed it from her Skype. So that was Laura's original Skype profile.

Which makes absolutely no sense, since there was no significant mention of anyone called Billie throughout the film.

In order to spell "Billie", you need L-I-B-E-L.

On a phone keypad, 2=ABC, and 7=PQRS. From that, you can spell BBQ (2-2-7).

So, her anger really started when her friends committed libel against her at a BBQ.

I thought it was pretty obvious.
