Do people actually relate to this?

I'm a long ways past being a teenager, but if I were still one, I can't imagine relating to these annoying, yelling, back-stabbing brats. If people under 25 actually do look at this movie and think "I know those people," I'm just glad I'm no longer anywhere near that age group. After a while I found the characters' histrionics unintentionally funny. They couldn't die fast enough to suit me. Not to mention the fact that an entire movie of Facebook, Skype, texting and so forth is inherently incredibly unappealing, at the very least because it's crappy to look at.

I'm far from 25 too and agree. They were whinny and bratty and unappealing. And a whole movie with the characters online? Bleh.

I'm currently 25. Frankly, Skype sessions with my friends tend to lead to us just watching either Japanese Superhero shows, classic horror films, or simply random crap on YouTube. Yeah, I didn't relate to this film

Well I think you were supposed to relate to Blaire and Mitch and maybe Ken or Jess before you realized how selfish and mean they all were. They were pretty annoying though, even for teenagers. I probably liked Ken the best because he seemed like the most normal.

Love the movie but I agree. They were unlikeable characters .

Well the interent is great but if you don't know the ropes it can be scary when you realise you aren't as private or as anonymous as you thought you were and all the secrets come through.

Threats and the like which you refuse to take seriously but a part of you can't help wondering...

So many of us use the internet but few of us really know how to navigate it any more than we are intended to understand so our joy can quickly turn into flames in our hands.

Because it's such a stretch that a teen would kill themselves over such a thing? Or that other terms would post such a shameful thing and then say things like "kill yourself"? Because that never happens in real life, right?
