Who decides the release date?

It does seem a little arrogant that Jolie is the writer, director and actor and the release date is set for awards season. I'm pretty sure they have financed this movie as well so I know both Ange and Brad will have final say on the release. It just seems smug.

Universal decided the release date.

The studios set the release dates, not the director or actors. Apparently the studio has confidence in her abilities.

It's just their BUSINESS, JeepsBlues. It is a business. They are very good at it, too.

The studio watches the film, and decides the release date. Obviously, Universal liked what they saw.
