Career Killer
This looks worse than Swept Away. Forget razzies, I think we may be looking at a "worst movie ever made" candidate as well as the end of Angie's directing career. Sad really.

shareNice explanation to your opinion. Worthless.

Last seen: M:I Rogue Nation (9/10)
You've added nothing to the topic, apart from hate. Your poisonous opinions belong elsewhere.
shareWithout any substantive criticisms to speak of, this film is as good as penciled in for me.
shareThis film can't flop big enough to have any meaningful impact on either career.
It won't be that big to begin with
Most actors and actresses don't kill their career with one movie. It really won't end their careers, even if it is terrible.

Gigli killed jlo's acting career. Swept away killed Madonna's.
shareThey are singers who dabbled in acting. We don't know if they'd ever make it to Hollywood as actresses. I'm not saying Jolie is the best actress in the world, but I can't remember any movie with JLo or Madonna worth watching.
sharedid you seriously compare Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to Madonna and JLo? ROFL, that has to be the best idiotic comparison ever, lol
shareGigli killed jlo's acting career
You need to get out more. Jennifer Lopez has made more from the movies since Gigli than all those before it combined.
shareGreat and smart actors are making little indie films all the time - many of which people never see or even hear about. Some of them are great, some are mediocre and some not good at all. But what's important to the industry and to the art of film itself is that people work and try and explore new things. That is almost never a bad thing. I'd much rather see someone making the effort than sitting around waiting for the next blockbuster or by-the-numbers multiplex movie.
I mostly see indie films and documentaries cause I'm lucky enough to live in a city with numerous indie theaters. I usually find something to appreciate or admire in almost every film I see. I'm not looking for the best film ever made - just an enjoyable or interesting work - good acting or good cinematography or interesting narrative, etc.
Well, have you seen Freddy Got Fingered? That movie killed Tom Green's career and his marriage to Drew Barrymore. You can tell that's probably why he isn't popular anymore. BTW, funny movie if you're a Tom Green fan like me.
shareTrue enough. But it is no longer about one film. With this film it could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. If this film is anything like Unbroken people are going to see a pattern and since this movie won't be saved by the religious nuts it will either fail or succeed on its inherent craft and artistic merits. And if this trailer is any indication I fear Angie's directing career may come to a grinding halt.
shareMaybe - I just don't see this getting that wide of a release to begin with. Plus, you might remember Guy Ritchie had a huge lull in his career after his Madonna movie fiasco. Then a full recovery doing Sherlock Holmes and now The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
shareI agree, it took a long time for Ben Affleck to live down Gigli, too.
shareWhat do you mean by anything like Unbroken? That movie got great reviews.
If you love Jesus Lizard and are 100% proud of it, copy this and make it your signature!
It did not. At best it got mixed reviews and even then the positive reviews seemed more supportive than glowing. Like me they appreciate her good intentions but that and a cup of coffee will only take you so far. Reread the Rottentomatoes GOOD reviews.
I was almost angry/embarrassed about how bad the film was when I took my nephews and niece to see it. I certainly felt let down. You liked it; good for you. Me; I can't pretend.
I didn't saw it so i wouldn't know. Just saying what i have read/heard from critics and public. Most of the reviews were good or mixed...so i don't see how, if this movie will be anything like the last one, it will be a career killer.

M&MS was in the mid 2000's, and Pitt's had a number of good roles since then. Jolie has always kinda seemed like she could take or leave acting.
shareInglorious Basterds came out in 2009.
Brad Pitt career was alive and well at that time, post Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Now trailers are the deciding factor of how a movie is going to ruin a career? and a writer and director? Wow. That tells you something about the expectations of moviegoers. Decisions based on trailers. Hmmmm That went well for Fan4tastic. Now we have to have trailers of trailers and Reactions to trailer video's. Trailers are not movies. Everyone is an individual some people like chocolate some people like vanila. Make your own critique AFTER you actually see the finished product. Now WTF is it taking 2 minutes for my Keurig to make me coffee, can't it go any faster?? I am giving it a 1 star review!
shareWhile it's true you should wait to really judge til after you see a movie, most people base their opinions on whether they want to see a movie based on the trailer. That's how it works.k People have been doing this forever.

It is fair to say that a trailer is/should be a showcase of the movie with the expectation that it will reel the audiences in to watch it. The trailer is supposed to make you think...wow, this looks like a good movie? I’ll look out for it when it’s released. This film is gonna sink.
The dreadful dirge in slow motion.
Pitt sitting in the bath with his lily-white legs and porn-stache and a face devoid of any attempt at ‘emoting’. Ha, at least he didn’t try the old-faithful ‘go-to visage'....by stuffing food into his cavernous mouth in an attempt to ‘method act’. The only problem with the food-eating is that he does it in most of the films that he ‘stars’ in. BORING!
Jolie’s hideous wig that looks it had previously been dragged around the garden by a hyperactive Jack Russell!
Jolie’s massive feet slam-banging into Pitt on the bed. They look like two canoes
The apparent lack of decent acting from the two
The cheap-looking film cover of two hats lying on top of a wall.
This film will be so bad that it may sweep the boards at the razzies. Such a fitting end for a couple who don’t seem to understand that they have nowhere near the level of talent that their egos would suggest they have.
You seem to dislike these two at a deep, emotional level and probably are not the best suited person to criticize their work.
I'm not saying the movie looks good or bad, just making an observation. Did they co-kill your dog or something?
the trailer totally confused me and was one dimensional. while it won't kill their careers, it will put them in a coma!
shareHe'll be ok, but she...that's another story. She doesn't want to act anymore which is too bad, that's where her real talent is and she'd always get work. But her directing is hit and miss. And she can't write to save her life so it may very well end her directing career because there will be no one who'll want to finance her films that she wrote.
shareI don't think anybody wants to see this.
shareI wanted to see this, but since I saw the trailer I'm afraid…
If this is an accurate piece of the whole Jolie is in serious trouble.
The film will make money even if it's bad, but nobody will take her serious anymore as a "director".
Why don´t you stop critizing before watching the film ?
I want to see this, they are acting together and the tráiler looks interesting, so please let´s see the film film first and then we can decide whether it is a killer or not.
