Good title. Initially I had the same reaction as you, but I think the view is obstructed on their side as well by the table. Remember the rooms are identical. And if you look up while we're seeing what they're seeing there's a wood line on top, probably from the table.

I was thinking the same thing especially in the scene where the neighbor's lights go off and they are sitting next to the hole with their lights on. If you were in a dark room you would notice the light coming through the hole.
shareNot to mention all the times they talk and guffaw rather loudly while sitting next to the wall. There were times when I was waiting for the couple to stop having sex and look in the holes direction.
ALSO, the part where the husband see the wife about to have sex with the neighbor...why wouldn't the neighbor question how he knew what was about to happen or that his wife was even over there in the first place?
