Incessant video glitches make no sense

All of the added video interference makes no sense. Even though VHS was inferior to modern HD there's no way these cameras were as bad as this franchise makes the footage look.

I agree 100%. I thought they put way too much video interference and distortion that it really bothered. No HD camera or cell phone cameras in this day and age have such bad interference.

I always just assumed it was supernatural forces causing the interference. But that's just me justifying bad editing.

I would agree 100% if you said "...that's just the producers and directors justifying bad editing"
