That parallel universe didn't seem so bad.

I mean, I know they appeared to be devil worshipers, but maybe that has a different connotation in their dimension. Like, all the sex (however the hell it worked) seemed consensual. The two guys seemed polite and left when the husband was uncomfortable. The parallel Marta ate her parallel husband's head, because domestic violence is forbidden.

It just seems like a colossal misunderstanding, lol.

This was the only decent segment, imo, and even it had issues (giant monster puppet phallus??). The others were just terrible.

I don't know, I mean, they appeared to get easily violent, like how they attacked Alfonso just for filming them.

I don't get the praise for this segment, it's pretty silly.

I think they thought he was being rude? Because they were fine with him filming them in the house.

It was a pretty ridiculous segment, but compared to the others, it was great:)

Still doesn't make sense why they had such a problem with it and the only reason he was filming is because they called him in the first place.

I think Dante was the best while this was just a massive waste of a potential.

I couldn't agree with you more. I'm extremly dissapointed at this feature film, the other two movies has been creative, fresh in taking up new horror terms to the big screen.

I was waiting and waiting for the shortfilms to grow on, but none of the films did it til i saw this one. Finally I experienced the same thing as i did with the other two movies. Creative and fresh, until de genetalia-focus turned up, then it just felled apart..

Hope VHS Viral learns from their mistakes, though they do a great job sorting movies and puting up a movie but still they could've done it better.

I love the anthology films of the 70's and 80's, so I've been a big supporter of the V/H/S series. This one fell really flat to me. I didn't love every segment of the other two, but I thought that, taken as a group, they were above average. I especially enjoyed the Indonesian (right?) possession one in part 2, and the haunted house/final segment in part 1. Viral didn't really have anything special, and the wrap-around was almost impossible to watch in parts. Big disappointment.

I also hope they'll take this as a learning experience - the third one didn't have the same writers/directors as the first one, did it?

It was hell. So not quite devil worshippers...devil captives perhaps? On the commentary they said it was hell unless I misunderstood them...metaphorical hell perhaps.?
