Excellent... and what an ending !

Plummer deserves a second Oscar for this : he's absolutely fabulous ! Further more Remember has a great screenplay with an incredible conclusion. Though I'm not an Atom Egoyan fan I have to admit this is great work !

Amazing movie. Every time you could have sunk into depression, something happens unexpected to make you forget. It was beautifully written, acted and directed. I was in the edge of my seat so many times. Atom is a brilliant filmmaker.
I recommend this highly, as long as the subject matter interests you.

I was disappointed by the ending. The easy everybody-is-dead conclusion seemed like a cop out. I wish they had come up with something more intriguing.

I found the ending to be pretty damn intriguing, but to each their own I suppose.

Agreed. I've admired Egoyan's work since seeing Exotica at the Chicago film festival in the early 90s. The photography and acting are excellent. The strings get a bit heavy-handed at times. Such an assured visual style could do with more silence. Still, a real gem. Highly recommended.

A pity that Plummer and Landau did not share more screen time. Plummer gave me a proper fright in Silent Partner with Eliot Gould, way back when it came out. Landau is especially impressive in Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Wow. This was a shocker. Thrilling and tilted all the way through.

Amen to that. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. And just when I thought it was over, wham! Another plot twist, but one whose trail (in hindsight) had been carefully laid. Awesome movie.

It was an engaging psychological thriller, but I found it completely implausible and had to put my logic on hold. Christopher Plummer's character seems to "forget" he has dementia about midway through the film, and he acts way too logically in my book. Really, it's a process of screenwriter's license, so I'll allow that – barely. this is a compelling film about an important topic with strong performances, but I think it's a weaker Atom Egoyan effort. 7/10 stars from me.

I laughed out loud when Plummer gets invited for a sleepover ! I mean the darkest of humours here.

I agree with the op...very good film, great acting, clever plot..I really enjoyed it.
Cake or death? Hmmmm I choose cake please.

Egoyan's later movies, starting with Where the Truth Lies, haven't been that great, so this one was somewhat of a "return to form". But the ending still seemed a little contrived and illogical.

SPOILERS:

I also kinda saw it coming: A couple of times in the movie we see a flashback of Max holding up a photo and saying, "This is the man who murdered our families." It was very suspicious how it was kept from the view of the camera. Each time I thought: "Oh no, it's gonna be Zev in the photo, isn't it. It's gonna be a stupid ending where we see that he had hunted himself all along."
