Batise muat be really stoned

Stephen Colbert needs to stop interacting with him. Its reflecting badly on him. Batiste's segments are cringeworthy at best. I can't stand him.

He can barley carry on a conversation.

Stephen tried to talk to Jon last night show (rerun) and Jon couldn't keep a conversion flowing. Jon is a good musician and talented he just seems a little off or doofy. They should give him an announcer sidekick

A lot of people on this board agree with you, myself included. Batiste seems to think that this is the "Late Show with Stephen Colbert AND John Batiste." He's got to be the biggest "ham" of any late night show bandleader. While there's nothing wrong with high energy, this guy is always playing to the camera with a "hey, look at me" attitude. About his lack or conversational skills, he doesn't even seem to understand Stephen's humor. But, worst of all, is that he can't even keep his trap shut during the show's opening theme. Anyone else annoyed by the "hey hey, uh huh, yeah, etc." heard throughout the theme ????

Thought it was great when Meredith made several appearances. It was Stephen and Meredith conversing and it seemed to work (a la Dave and Paul); then it was back to Batiste and a complete lack of chemistry, humor and conversation. Bring back Meredith !!!!!!!!

He's no more stoned than Paul Shafer was on Letterman and Paul was a freakin' idiot that made little sense and was so cringeworthy, it's why I stopped watching Dave.
