How is Mark Rylance's acting?

I want to hear how he does in the film and I know he's a great actor (I mean besides Bridge of Spies) and I'm curious to see how he's doing.

He made a soviet spy seem like the sweetest guy in the world and he does the same thing with a giant. I actually heard Robin Williams was the first choice for this though. I can't help but wonder how that was going to look as well as if more humor would have been brought into the film because of it.

To be really picky, I thought Rylance's delivery was too slow and made the film seem ponderous at times. Robin Williams would've been great! Still can't believe he's gone.

I liked him. He does the playful gobblefunk dialogue so well.

Rather good. Including BFG's animation.
