I agree with you. I really don't understand why people don't like her. I mean, Alvey just told his own kid that he's going to be the coach in someone else's corner and he doesn't really believe in him, yet they think Lisa is horrible?
I think she'll be pissed about his new love interest because she just experienced something horrible on screen (as well as off screen) and she won't be able to wrap her head around the fact that Alvey could already be moving on to someone else. But, I think in the end, Alvey is going to realize that Roxanne is just a placeholder while Lisa keeps his business running and is like a second mother to his sons. In fact, I think Lisa has been better to the boys over their own mother. To me it seems like just now their mother is starting to pay attention to them rather than herself.
I agree. I think Alvey will realize eventually he belongs with Lisa, but it is gonna take some time. I hope Lisa keep it together. This also gives Ryan an opening to win back his ex-girl friend. Although he is *beep* Alicia, but clearly he is not in love with her. There will be a lot of love triangles for awhile on the show.
All of this! Lisa has been a better presence in Jay & Nate's lives than either of their parents. She's supportive but tough. I'm so glad she's back! (That credit at the end for her lost baby was so heartbreaking.)

She's my least favorite character. And I think she's a cry baby. She can manage the gym, I'll give her that. But other than that I hope she does NOT get back with alvey. They're not a good couple. And I can't believe she asked if they were done after what she did to him. And for the person saying they don't know why alley is backing up Ryan instead of his own son, it's because jay is a waste, and screwed alvey over before. So he's on the fence. Jay goes from being great to a POS. So I wouldn't waste time on him either until he's 100% clean.
And Ryan isn't? He's a junkie that flipped out and put his father in a chair, landing him in prison. I'm sure that's out of his system and could never happen again. I mean besides having temper tantrums, trashing a gym and assaulting his coach, flipping out and getting his knee injured before a fight he then loses. Yeah, he's obviously the well-adjusted, safe bet.

Yeah but the thing is, Ryan didn't want to go back into fighting. Alvey talked him into it and got him off probation in that halfway house. Therefore, Alvey has to either take responsibility for his career or let him find another coach/agent/manager. Jay decided he want to fight after Alvey took on Ryan.
