Why?

Nothing made any sense to me. Is this one of those "It was all just a dream" movies but she's trapped in repeating it over and over and her memory is wiped every time? If so, why is that? Were the other adults real, or just Jenny? Were the other kids real, or just Cassandra?

Also, why? What is the point and the reason behind the movie's events? There are topics touched on that go unexplained: Like what the guy in the news is talking about in the beginning fools you into thinking it is significant, but then it isn't? The kids learning about advanced math etc fools you into think it is significant, but that also isn't?

I consider myself decently intelligent -- this one made no sense to me. I guess all the colored lights were pretty, but I can't help but think that that is all this movie was - an interesting art style on a plot that didn't make sense.
