Agreed. If you are referring to the scene 10-15 minutes from the end of the film. That looked quite cheesy. I think the director would have been well to budget another $100.00 for some blood effects and had the children use knives from the kitchen area and all start stabbing him hundreds of times from different directions followed by the suffocating bag.
At least, then, you could be well...Yes, Darby could beat them off but if he was stabbed 100 to 200 times by knives over a few seconds by the 12 kids, he'd be significantly weakened by blood loss and muscular damage.
The earlier scene where he was in his room and somehow got 'beat' by the kids and tied up, I could understand as a suspension of disbelief. Remember that if the kids are able to 'hack' the system to some degree, they could turn off the visors leaving you hopelessly blind in a dark room with no lights. Just trying to escape the kids, I could see Darby having gotten his head injury running headfirst into a wall or tripping and falling onto furniture (something which actually kills people) and the kids just tied him up afterwards. Maybe Darby beat himself, so to speak.
Also they let us see Darby's bare ass but not any of the ladies stripped down? I seriously feel bad for people who spent money on this.
The main protagonist was a straight woman interested in men and the co-protagonist whose viewpoint we were seeing from was also a straight woman interested in multiple men (or polyamorous). This was established at about the 12 minute mark or something during the introductory conversation in the hall. So it follows these characters would be tempted to look at a fit guy's ass.
Honestly, that doesn't bother me too much as it brings enjoyment to the female audience so whatever. Straight women have had to look at half-naked or naked sexy women for ages in film.
