Mel Gibson is great in this

It's sad to see this great action movie thrown away. I just saw it on pay-per-view, and it rocked. Mel Gibson is totally in control in every scene he's in, and seemingly indestructible. In the brief motorcycle chase scene, I could have sworn it was like a clip right out of Mad Max II, the Road Warrior from 30 years ago. He is bad ass, and this movie was excellent. So glad I checked it out.

I fully agree. This was a great action thriller, and Mel was fantastic and delivered one of his best performances. It's a shame this wasn't give a wide release, but it should go on to get a large cult following like Get the Gringo.

Is Mel ever not in total control of every scene he's in?

To me, he always brings his A game no matter what the quality of the movie - think Expendables, and I've never once seen him acted off the screen.

His acting talent, his screen presence and his charisma, the guy is always entertaining to watch.

Mel is mediocre in this...he is great in Braveheart or leathal weapon 1 and 2 or Mad Max films...he is even great in payback but here he isnt more than mediocre if you compare to all other really great roles he have made...but I do agree on that even as mediocre in this mediocre movie he is the best thing about it.
