If this was a Liam Neeson movie, people would love it

Poor old Mel is blacklisted forever. Even if he appears in the greatest movie of all time, people will still say it's sh!t simply because he is in it.

Mel is great, no matter what those fu*ers said about him.

Is the movie doing bad? It has a lot of good reviews.

Well, that's nobody's fault but Gibson's. He did it to himself.

Did what? Speak truthfully? Political correctness is destroying the world.

What did Mel say?

So, by your rationale, everyone who ever says something that's not 100% PC in a private phone conversation should be fired from their job and blacklisted from the field? I don't agree with what he said. Hell, I don't agree with a lot of things he's said. But, that's his private life.

That kind of whiny, sniveling, "safe place", PC propaganda BS is what is wrong with the world today. Remember being a kid and saying "sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me"? Now, words can completely ruin peoples' lives.

I don't like Tom Cruise, John Travolta, and Will Smith's crazy ass Scientology BS, but I like their movies. Who gives a flying fvck what a celebrity is like behind closed doors? You don't have to live with them. And, you don't have to support their movies. But, I don't think they should lose their livelihood because of it.

People are perfectly right to hate the guy, but they should spend some effort separating the art from the artist.

I love Roman Polanski films, and he raped a kid. If I spend all my time thinking about how much that irks me, I'm depriving MYSELF of things I might otherwise like.

Mel's a douchebag that comes from a heady stock of douchebag (feel free to look up Hutton Gibson), but he's an extremely competent director and still IMO the gold standard actor when it comes to the revenge genre.

6.7 seems unreasonably low for this flick. My biggest gripe was that the pacing was on speedwalk the entire time. 1hr 22min just feels like cliff notes in the era where Netflix is basically making 8 hour movies into television series.

No that is not true...just because Liam Neeson is in the movie, doesnt mean that the movie have a great script...this movie sucks cause the script and characters sucks, everything is poorly and badly written...just take the bad guys or the daughter...laughable bad...only good thing in this is Mel and he would have nailed it as Mad Max still.

I've no clue why I should dislike Mel Gibson and I don't even want to know if it's something from his private life.
When I hear Liam Neeson I think of 96h Taken and that wasn't any better.
