There are so many films like Captain Fantastic that are low budget and don't get wide releases, also, like Slumdog Millionaire did.
They are good still. I'm sure the director wished for a wide release too.
It did get screened at Cannes with a standing ovation. That says something. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (my fav film ever) won an Oscar and only a few people actually saw it. Another low budget film. So sad really.
Yep, sausage film got wide. lol
"Guys like you don't die on toilets." Mel Gibson-Riggs, Lethal Weapon
I thought the movie was more independent than anything. So they probably didn't have a budget for wide spread release.
shareIn it's defense, the talking sausage flick was more entertaining than this one.
shareHow does the Sausage stack up against "The Pickle." It was a movie about a flying Pickle and had a well known cast. The movie was about a well known director, after three bad movies in a row, talked into making a movie about a pickle. Take the money and run.
I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else
