Why didn't the Nazis teach Marianne to play the piano? They're always so exact, but they messed up here.
shareThe way I see it, there simply wasn't time. When the real Marianne died they would have needed to put someone in place right away and spin the tale of her surviving/escaping the cell clean out in Paris. Then she got wisked away and married. If she had stayed as a long term double agent, they would have taught her.

And when Max is told his wife is a spy he should`ve known the truth about her right away because in Casablanca she gave it away when she couldn`t properly handle the gun, really confusing him. But I guess he forgot that detail.
