Two things I was kind of expecting might happen (spoilers)

When Max and Marianne shot up the party where they killed the German ambassador, Marianne and the woman she was friends with made eye contact before Marianne fled, deciding not to shoot her. I was expecting for the rest of the movie that that woman would somehow show up later to get revenge, so I thought maybe it would turn out that she cooked-up the story that Marianne wasn't real and was actually a spy for the Germans, and managed to leak it to the right people.

The other thing I thought would happen was that Max was writing down something completely different than he was being told over the phone to set the trap for Marianne. That way, the authorities would say she didn't disclose what they told him, yet Max would know whether or not she repeated what he actually wrote down.

Wrong on both counts! But a really good movie. :)
