It's different, that's for sure, and it's way more comparable to one and four.

Good points

The apocolpse, tall man style, some good fx work, good a ting by the crew, chunk, and of course, Angus.

"Was there anything good about it?"

Angus Scrimm goes out as the Tall Man like a muh-fughin' champ. That's pretty good.

Really the only good parts were when Angus Scrimm was talking, even though he looked horrible. He obviously was not in good health, and I'm guessing this had a lot to do with why the movie ended up being such a mess. He was probably supposed to be a lot more involved in the plot than he ended up being before he died.

It's another Phantasm, I guess.

I liked the soundtrack, to be honest.

Scrimm was fine when they filmed this 2 years ago. Nothing to do with why the movie was a turd.

No money... horrid script... Bad FX... bad director.... lots of reasons.

Angus was honestly the best thing about the movie and he was barely in it.

The tiny balls weren't even scary because outside of a creepy funeral home they looked HORRIBLE and CHEESEY. Also, if I am correct there was one ball type not 2 or 3. Not counting the stupid LARGE balls which makes no sense at all actually. They were not scary at all blowing up buildings in the post-apocalypse world.

Soundtrack was terrible as well because they had music playing at times there shouldn't be... and in those times it sounded very generic... sort of like sy-fy crap. The main theme was the only decent sounding thing but the rest... not good... not good.

Yes. If you can accept the fact that everyone involved used their own money to get it made and it took six years to complete, than I think you will like it.

We have the return of all the original actors. Reggie, Mike, Bill, Angus, Kat, Ken...and even a surprise cameo from another character in the sequels.

More action oriented than Oblivion.

Expands the mythology a bit.

Great scenes with Angus. I worried about these.

Some pretty awesome cgi of the red planet and destruction of earth.

The fractured storylines make for a beatifully crafted film. You should love the last 20 min.

Features on of the most emotional subplots ever depicted in the franchise. I had tears the second time I watched, but maybe that's because this is our final outing with the characters.

A qualm would be unanswered questions, but thats Phantasm for you.
