Does Anybody Know When This Is Coming Out On DVD?

I liked the first four Phantasm movies and I am really looking forward to seeing this one 'cause I heard it was in development for years but every time a website had an article about the movie it never went through.

Without any major spoilers was it a good movie and did the original cast (Mike, Reggie and Jody) return for it?

Are the original cast members in it. Yes. Is it good. No. Imagine how bad Phantasm 4 was. Now picture everyone in that 20 years older. Now picture the story goes nowhere and answers no questions from the previous films. Now think about what a mishmash of different pieces made over years would look like in a full length film. Now add in awful Syfy Original/The Asylum style CGI effects on the same level as Sharknado and similar film style. Remember how awesome Reggie and Angus Scrimm were, then take that away. Conjure up the worst ending you can think of. Now add a rap song that doesn't fit. There's Phantasm 5. You're welcome. At least you're waiting for the DVD and not throwing away $8 on it like we did.

Phantasm IV was awesome. Way better than 3.

Phantasm Remastered and Phantasm Ravager are due to hit blu-ray (maybe not DVD) in December, but unfortunately are going to be around 30 dollars a piece.

By the by, I really like "Phantasm: OblIVion". It's more like the original tonally than the other sequels.

I agree, I have always enjoyed Oblivion. Low budget and tone like the first.
