I think it works pretty well as a Phantasm finale.
How could this "end" without betraying the spirit of the films?

shareI'm FINALLY seeing it...and I'm only around 40 minutes into it... and so far I'm liking it. It's 'sad' but so far I'm liking it. And with everything I've read here, and how it's fleshing out 'so to speak', I might be 'getting' it so far. Mike on the park bench scenes... seems so... 'normal', almost TOO normal, like he almost doesn't even CARE. Still not finished with it. I'll make my final opinion on it when I do. Seems like we have a real mixed bag of views here. Mostly 'sour' reviews, but some seem to really like it. Still chugging along.
