Boxset Won't Include Phantasm 2
It's owned by Universal and currently licensed to Scream Factory.

shareDoesn't mean it won't be in the boxset. Anchor Bay and Scream Factory worked together to release a Halloween box set.
shareHey buddy, I'm pretty sure anchor bay only owned the rights to 1, 3, & 4. This will likely be a similar situation to the Child's Play franchise which Universal also owned.. We got two boxsets without part 1. Haha.
shareDon Coscarelli says they're working towards getting P2 in the set.
shareThats good news. I'm sure they can make it mutual beneficial, but it's going to depend on if Scream Factory and Univeral want 1/5 of the profit. I don't see them underselling the other 4 films just to make it all inclusive.
sharewhen the box set comes out, i will be throwing away 5. the series ends a 4, 5 is worthless garbage.
shareI don't spend money on garbage. If you need more, feel free to dig through my dumpster. Leave a $20 under the mat.
shareScream Factory has worked with other companies in the past to include their titles for box sets. No reason to think they wouldn't do the same for Phantasm II.
shareFor instance?
shareThe mammoth Anchor Bay / Scream Factory / Dimension Films "Halloween" box set.
shareAh, I should have known.
Which ones are owned by which company? Is it Part 1, 2, and 3 that Anchor Bay own? The rest are Dimension?
Do you own that sucker? I got one. I also have the Friday the 13th Boxset and that thing is OOP now and going for 200-300 on eBay. Crazy
I own the slightly less expensive set that does NOT include the producer's cut of part 6. Which is not a problem for me, because the producer's cut was released as a standalone disc last Halloween.
Halloween, Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 are Anchor Bay.
Halloween II and III are Scream Factory.
Halloween 6,7,8 and the Halloween Remake and Halloween II remake are Dimension.
