It's extremely disappointing. The dialogue was extremely bad. The story went nowhere. The performances didn't event have any authenticity, considering the majority of the original gang came back. What I found the hardest pill to swallow was the visuals. Digital damaged the aesthetic of this film...severely. It looked like a fan made internet film. The quick edits of grabbing the weapons even felt like something of a high school project. I'm such a huge fan of the series and was really looking forward to a proper send off. Sadly...that won't ever happen. Why couldn't Don just give the fans what they wanted and do a true conclusion? Dammit...

Because Don lost interest in the series a long time ago, and would only contribute if someone else took the reins.

Same here! Very very sad about Ravager. It never should've happened like it did, with Don phoning in his control over the project. I'm a HUGE phan: I've met the entire cast in person and paid for pictures and autographs. What a waste! I just sold my DVD collection of the first four on Ebay and I'm NOT buying Ravager or spending any more money to see these Phantasm people at horror conventions. Ravager was an INSULT! 

I tempered my expectations and got, more or less, what I expected. I recommend everyone else do the same.
