The road trip would've ended up with them discovering Margo's body? For some reason I expected Q to find her hanging from a rope in the shes or maybe face down floating in the lake behind it. She seemed so unhappy with everything and the way she said good bye to Q made it seem like she was also saying goodbye to him forever? Idk I guess I always expect a shock factor. I mean would the whole story have been better if that were the case? And instead Q ends up with Lacie? I thought they hinted at a relationship with her first approaching him in the hallway and later after the bath tub scene. Not to mention she got really close to him and his group during the road trip and after the accident they could've had a moment alone where they realized some new feelings. Antone agree? Just curious.

I totally thought him and Lacie were going to date.Why else do that bathtub scene?

They might have for a little while. But they were probably going to different colleges so...

Agreed. While he was busying being distracted by the fantasy, the real thing was right in front of his face. They had tons of chemistry in every scene they had together too. The whole side plot with Lacey and Ben didn't really make any sense. If you show this movie 6 months later I think Quentin and Lacey had them some summer lovin'.
