Killer Mum

Do you think she suffered any sort of psychological damage from killing a man? Her reasons for doing it are understandable I suppose but still, I can't imagine it's something someone easily forgets. Although in this film I get the impression it was no big deal for her, and would happily put it behind her and get on with her life with her family.

I would assume it would play on her mind later but in the timeline of the film she was protecting her child and herself and survival would have been at the forefront of her mind.

More perplexing to me was how we didn’t see her ask about her daughter at all once the husband arrived to save them. Not even one “is Julia ok?”. I know there was a lot going on but it still struck me as weird.
