Are there any other good Norwegian movies?

Hi everyone,

I really liked this movie, does anyone know of any other good norwegian movies to watch? Or scandinavian ones in general?

Cheers

Some good Norwegian movies:

Flåklypa Grand Prix - Probably the most well known Norwegian movie. A really fun animated movie about a super car race.

Get Ready To Be Boyzvoiced - Hilarious mockumentary about a fictional boyband. Like Spinal Tap, but I like this one is better.

Orions Belte - Cold war era action/thriller set mostly in Svalbard.

Kraftidioten (In Order of Disappearance) - A fun action/black comedy starring Stellan Skarsgård.

Oslo, 31. August - Drama about a former drug addict catching up with friends.

Troll Hunter - Great found footage horror about trolls. Not a huge fan of this genre, but this is one of the better.

Yeah if you're looking for something really rare, check out Trollhunter.

I'd also recommend:-
- In a Better World (Hævnen)
- The Hunt (Jagten)
- Adam's Apples (Adams æbler)
- Elling
- Headhunter (Hodejegerne)
- Kon-Tiki
- Let the Right One In (Låt den rätte komma in)
- Blind
- Lilya 4-Ever (Lilja 4-ever)
- A Hijacking (Kapringen)
- R
- Submarino

Some danish/swedish in that list!

😒 *sighs...*

Of course there are some Danish, Swedish in the list. Because OP said that,

[...] any other good Norwegian movies to watch? OR SCANDINAVIAN ONES in general?

, which means SWEDISH and DANISH are included. Sometimes Finnish, Icelandic are included, too.

I just wanted to point it out!

For the record, Let the Right One In is Swedish.

The original "Insomnia", better than the Chris Nolan remake:

So many. I don't think anyone mentioned The (original) Bridge series (Sweden/Denmark, not the remake). Of course the Dragon Tattoo series, and I was also going to mention Lillyhammer. There is no end of Swedish films, of course, and you can peruse Bergman as a progenitor of modern cinema. For more recent Swedish ideas, check out Lukas Moodysson. "We are the Best!" is one of my recent favourite of all films. Again, reaffirming, "Let the Right One In" is brilliant.

Fritt vilt (2006) and Børning (2014) are 2 of my favorites (and now after seeing The Wave/Bolgen that is another favorite as well).

Cold Prey was directed by the same director btw, you actually see a clip of it in this movie (the movie one of the guys is watching when the alert comes on).

Somedays you just can't dispose of a bomb.

'Escape' (2012) -- original title: 'Flukt'. Well-conceived chase movie, set in 13th century Norway, with a brisk run-time of 80 mins. Highly-recommended.
