Awful, just awful ***spoilers

Beautiful cinematography of the Moors. Always seen them cold and dark and foggy. Here they are beautiful.

The story is ridiculous and makes no sense. To explain more would be to give spoilers.

It's just silly.

Two stupid best friends who have no problem stabbing each other in the back. Are men in that low a supply? One incestuous nutjob and a completely worthless family, a sicko one at that.

Trust me. If you decide to watch you'll be kicking your own butt 45 minutes in. Trust me.

I have to agree. The storyline was abysmal - acting was decent enough. That storyline, awful. I didn't even understand it. He was screwing his sister. The sister liked the other girl, rivalry ensures - sister dies. Brother waits 17 years to get revenge?? Ugh. The cinematography was superb though, I must say.

Agree. Not a great story. Stupid storyline.

So, how's this: 2 girls manage to escape and they jog off into the
forest, probably with a 20-30 minute headstart on their pursuer. He
finally gives chase, carrying a shotgun, which you think would slow him
down. What time would you estimate is required for him to overtake the
young, healthy girls? 1 hour? 2? How about 2 minutes?

Earlier, the girls (who look remarkably similar) seen to be in conflict
over who will make out with this guy, but it turns out one of them
experienced a nasty encounter years before at this house, but... Wait
for it: amnesia (the selective kind) caused her to forget all about it.

That explains why the 2 girls accepted an invitation to a sleepover at
this guy's secluded country cottage in the first place.

I would put this film on par with those C westerns made in the 40's
that had Nazi or Japanese war criminals for the 'bad guy'.

Nice scenery, however... sadly, lots of smut to FF over....

It's gorgeous until it does night scenes, then those are mainly just black with some vague motions here and there. I watched the whole thing, heaven help me, and literally don't know what happened in a lot of it. This isn't normally a problem watching Netflix on my set, with its current settings, in fact often viewers in other locations will complain about things being too dark and I don't know what they're talking about. It was very much specific to this one film.

Not that the story seems particularly worth understanding, anyway. The most interesting thing in it was the father pretending to have dementia. That was a nice bit of acting, both when he seemed to have it and when he stopped faking.

"But... what about the relevant conundrum?"

In addition to it being dark the sound seemed abnormally loud. It was it just me?
I had to have my tv turned down to 5 and even then the sound was still loud.
