They're already remaking this LOL?!

The 2004 American version was already a remake in of itself and inferior to Ju-On IMO so what makes them think they'll do better this time? The US movie is only 14 yrs old lol. What a joke. Hollywood......just go fuck yourselves.

reply

Agreed. This is pathetic. The mindless suits and ties running that town need to be tossed from their office windows and fed to wild dogs.

reply

They’d make a movie about that.

reply

It'd be a good one!

reply

Especially if it were a documentary, and not a work of fiction!

reply

I'd say they've run out of ideas, but I bet there's some good scripts sitting unproduced in their offices.

reply

That bet would probably pay off.

reply

not again ???

reply

Oh for fucks sake.

And of course it's just "Grudge".

Guys get ready for "Conjuring (2021)" and "Babadook (2022)".

reply

Lol. It is getting pretty absurd.

reply

Isn't the Sarah Michelle Gellar already a remake?

reply

Surprised I neve followed up on this.

There was the original in Japan.

reply

i thought the whole reason of watching a movie is to see something you've never seen before of at least kind of different than what you've seen before this is pathetic. the fact that you are just watching the same story if you watch this as the 2004 movie is something most people generally wouldn't want to do. this whole horror movie trend of remakes needs to end we've gotten this more than any other genre. enough!

reply

do people read the same book from a different author? of course not so why do they make the same movie?

reply

Because sometimes... gasp! They're actually better!
Plenty of good remakes out there. Unfortunately this doesn't appear to be one of them.

reply

yeah 25% of the time. now if i was a betting man...

reply

15 yrz is a long time. Some ppl pay off their mortgagez during such period. I may watch orig movie but 15 yrs later my children wud be watchin remake.

reply

The opening scene seems exactly the same, at least they should try harder.
