Can't believe I have been passing this show up for over a year.
I have only seen the first two episodes so far, but I'm hooked!
I really envy you the joy of watching this, you have four seasons to watch! Do you see what I mean about Martin Sheen?
In fact I've decided right now I'm going to rewatch next year before season 5 begins!

I do see what you mean! I have looked at a few of the threads here, and can't figure why people don't like him and Sam Waterson as a gay couple. They say they aren't believable. I can believe it. Some people say they fight too much. Personally, I can understand the difficulty they would have as a real couple. They may not have been happy living a lie, but they were comfortable in the situation for many years. At their age, it's hard to make such a change. The adjustment has to be difficult no matter how long they waited to be together.
In any case, I enjoy all four of them. I'm just kicking myself for not watching it sooner!

I have to say that I truly am enjoying this show!
I was pleasantly surprised to see Craig T Nelson (Guy) in this as a love interest for Grace, I have always liked him but I'm kind of glad that she moved on.... especially when Phil was brought up. I just knew that he had to be something special. I did fight the urge to look through the cast members though. I wanted to be surprised, so I braced myself for whatever came at the end of that hilarious road trip to Phil's house.

What is weird is that I've never ever been able to recall his name, it's one of those names that is on the tip of my tongue then I see it and I go "Aaah yes!" I'm not sure if I knew he was married to Katherine Ross or not but what an attractive couple.

I just love Grace's daughter Mallory, she's a great character. In fact all the characters are well realised and quirky.
I love Frankie's dress sense by the way. Although Jane Fonda- wow that lady looks good.

Oh, I'm hooked and enjoying all of the characters! Another little bit of trivia about Sam and Katherine. They both appeared in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. This was long before they actually met. He was just starting out acting and she was married to someone else at the time. They had no scenes together. Sam Elliott's role was a small one in that film. It was at the beginning when he is playing cards with Robert Redford. He accuses Redford of cheating.
I've always thought that Jane Fonda was stunning. I only wish I looked so great! Last night I was watching her prepare for bed with Craig T. Nelson. That figure is perfection and the nightgown was terrific on her. If I had that going on I certainly wouldn't hide it in the dark self consciously!
I like Frankie's dress sense too. I'm closer in that respect. I'd love to get a few of those knit ponchos. They look so soft and they could also hide a few sins!
