The curse of season 2

..messing with a winning formula. The thing that made this work was that the tow principles were the Odd Couple, but what they've done in the season 2 is sacrificed much of the Fonda / Tomlin shared onscreen time out and instead inserted way too much secondary character segments. Result: it's gone from a winning sitcom to an also ran soap without a single funny line.

I have to disagree. Season 2 was even better than season 1. The characters of Grace and Frankie have grown since season 1.

Fonda/Tomlin are working at such a high level that almost any scene without them seems like a distraction.

I think Season 2 is deeper and richer. Much better than the first year. The two episodes involving Estelle Parsons' character will be what gets all three actors nominated for awards this year.

Totally agree, season 2 kicked ass! Looking forward to season 3.

I have to disagree as well. I loved the second season a lot more than I loved the first. Yes, you did get to see a lot more of the secondary characters, particularly the children but I thought it was nice to see more of them and their interactions with each other. It was also nice to see Grace and Frankie themselves in their various relationships with all of the other characters that weren't necessarily explored last season, e.g. Frankie and Breanna.

I agree.
The Season 2 is not bad, but is another mood that Season 1.

I enjoy so much Season 1, but for me Season 2 is a bit boring.
