Didn't Care for It Much

The original Incredibles is one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time so I was really excited to see the sequel. This may be a minority opinion, but I found it kinda disappointing. It wasn't a bad movie, per se. There were plenty of funny, laugh-out-loud bits, along with some solid action sequences, but the story as a whole fell flat for me. The initial plot, which comprises the first 3rd of the movie, is actually quite interesting. With Elastagirl out fighting crime and Mr. Incredible stuck at home with the kids, it introduced some good family conflict and had the potential for interesting character development. But that stuff is underdeveloped and never resolved, abandoned for what felt to me like a Scooby-Doo plot. My kids really liked it, so I guess there's that, but this film didn't work for me.
