Cars 3? Puke.

Eh, I think it's too early to make the comparison. Dreamworks plans their films to be franchises from the beginning. Pixar makes sequels years later. Aside from Cars 2, the general consensus is that Pixar's sequels are pretty good. Now after Finding Dory, Cars 3 and Incredibles 2 come out, we'll see. But along with those, there will be many originals, so it might not be all bad.
shareNo, Pixar used to make sequels years later - now that they are part of the disney crap machine the theater and TV sequels come out fairly quick.
UNder the disney ownership Pixar has come out with
TS3 (already in early stages when the purchase was made) excellent film by the way.
Cars 2 was the first made totally under Disney - piece of crap.
Brave - crap. Nothing more than a disney princess film.
Monsters University - crap. Kiddie cartoon.
Pixar has a VERY bad track record under Disney and it will never change.
I understand you're angry with Disney, however your own arguments seem less-than-factual.
No, Pixar used to make sequels years laterThey are planning Finding Dory which will be 13 years after its original, and Incredibles will be 2017 or later, which is another 13+ years after its original film. Cars 2 was a "fast" sequel for Pixar and it was still 5 years later. Cars 3 should be 2017 or later, which means at least 6 years between parts 2 and 3. You say that "TV sequels come out fairly quick." What are you talking about? Surely you don't mean "Planes" because Pixar has nothing to do with those.
TS3 (already in early stages when the purchase was made) excellent film by the way.Disney was working on their own version of it, sure. But after the Pixar purchase was made, Lasseter completely shut down the entire division creating those films (Circle 7 animation). Pixar started over from scratch and made their own Toy Story 3. So the actual film and the actual crew had not begun production.
Cars 2 was the first made totally under Disney - piece of crap. Not true that it was the first totally made under Disney. As I mentioned above, TS3 was the first. Cars 2 was rushed, though. Newt was cancelled and Brave wasn't ready, so they rushed Cars 2. It suffered from that.
Brave - crap. Nothing more than a disney princess film.Funny that you would blame this on Disney since it was in development before Disney purchased Pixar. Also in a rant against sequels, it's also weird to list something that is not a sequel. But this is about how "Disney ruined" Pixar, and this had problems WAY before Disney got involved.
Monsters University - crap. Kiddie cartoon. This is the least thought out of your arguments, so there is no response besides mentioning opinions.
Pixar has a VERY bad track record under DisneyNot including that every film has been under Disney, or that Pixar released several really good movies after Disney bought them...if we only count the films that BEGUN after Disney bought them, we have Toy Story 3, Cars 2 and Monsters University. Next year we have Inside Out and probably Good Dinosaur. You think TS3 was good, and the other two were not (in your opinion). So, that's 1:2 good to bad ratio. Everything about Inside Out looks great, so that should be 2:2 ratio.
it will never change.Let's chat after Inside Out and see if anything has changed. share
And now they announce Toy Story 4. My points above still remain for the moment, but they certainly could change the tide over the next 5 years with their current announced release schedule. I'm just hoping there are at least 6 new originals planned to match the 4 sequels they've announced.
share??? The purchase by Disney took place when Ratatouille was released...
"You keep him in here, and make sure HE doesn't leave!"
