Toy sale cash grab

They're making a movie to cash in you don't say.

Yeah, this criticism is null and void. All Hollywood movies are cash grabs. If they turn out to also be entertaining, then awesome. Give this dead horse a rest and enjoy the entertainment.

Surely a lot of movies for younger audiences are made with toy and other merchandise sales in mind? I think this has been the case for a long time and I don't see why cars wouldn't cash in too.

My son who is nearly 3 loves his little die cast cars and when I was his age I had Dukes Of Hazzard cars :-)

In any large toy shop now most of the toys appear to be from TV or film - Star Wars is popular again and Thomas The Tank Engine launches a new film and characters every year. Avengers have an entire corner in a store near us and even more grown up characters like Batman have Lego variants. It's probably tough to launch a new range without a screen presence now.
