I hope they could add some "family" spirit in it, like a family for Lightining and Sally, which will fix some things after #2.

It depends. If Mater is there, his presence will have the same effect on the story as Jar Jar Binks on Star Wars.

He is obviously going to be in it. They aren't going to just randomly drop the character. But the definitely need to minimize his screen time by a lot. I could live with him being in the film just as long as he isn't the main focus like he was in the 2nd one.

Hay they say its going to be depressing like the first film, and they'll finally reference Doc Hudson's death finally.
